First, make sure that the mould will cover at least seventy percent of the distance between the tiebars.Pay attention to the following items:
1.This is a good rule of thumb. Most machine manuals will specify the minimum mould size for a given machine. Some machines even have placards mounted on the frame.
2.If the mould is excessively small, catastrophic damage to the platen can occur.
Second, Ensure and check the safety strap as well as the mould's parts are in the correct position and in good condition. Moreover, attach importance to the location of the eyebolt.Pay attention to the following items:
1. Two eyebolts are safer than one and can help prevent the mould from tilting.
2.Only use shouldered eyebolts, or preferably, swivel-type hoist rings.
Third,Ensure the screw is forward or the carriage is back.Pay attention to the following items:
1. The barrel heats may be on or off, according to the circumstances,
2. Watch out for resin drool or spitting.
Last, clean the machine platens and the mould’s clamp-plate faces.Lift the mould up over the tiebars and lower it into the moulding area.
